Furnace Cleaning in Houston, TX

What a furnace cleaning actually involves here
Gas gets shut at the valve first. Power off at the switch. The burner compartment door comes off. Burners are pulled, one at a time. Crossover ports get brushed, then vacuumed. The flame sensor is cleaned with light abrasive, not sandpaper. Inducer wheel is checked for lint buildup. On condensing furnaces, the condensate trap and drain line get flushed. Heat exchanger is inspected with a mirror and light before anything is reassembled. Burners go back in the same order.
The blower wheel is usually the dirtiest part. Houston dust is fine clay-silt, and it packs into the fin curves. Add construction debris in newer subdivisions. A caked wheel moves less air and the furnace short cycles on limit. Pulling the blower assembly and cleaning it off the unit is the only honest way to do it.
Most furnaces here sit in a vented attic, horizontal, tied to flexible insulated duct and sheet-metal plenums. Slab-level return plenums pull in floor dust constantly. Crushed or sagging flex runs and leaky boots at ceiling registers make the filter load worse. We note what we see.
If the heat exchanger shows cracking, cleaning is pointless. We say so and stop.

What Happens After You Call Us
- 1
Call and tell us how many returns and how many supply vents you have, and we give you a two hour arrival window with the tech's name. No charge to come look, and no pressure if you decide to wait.
- 2
We open the air handler, pull a return grille, and show you what is actually in the flex duct before anything runs. Then you get one firm number in writing, based on your vent count and trunk layout.
- 3
We seal and vacuum every run, put a fresh filter in, and run the system with you standing at a vent so you feel the difference. Drop cloths come up, furniture goes back, and you pay the number we quoted.
